The doorbell sounded throughout the [l/n] residence.

"Coming!" Came [f/n]'s almost shrill cry, followed by the volley of high-pitched barks from her golden, ball of fur that was indeed a Pomeranian. Said dog skidded around the corner, making a beeline for the door, with one of his owners firmly on his tail. [f/n] was so caught up in not wanting to make the person wait, she forgot to pull her dog back, and when she yanked the door open, the 'Toy' dog's barking only grew louder, a mixture of almost snarling as well.

He jumped around the person, pawing at their legs, licking their pants and shoes, and nipping at them. Rivaille stood there, looking completely deadpan as he watched the football dog nearly dance around him. With a small stutter, [f/n] hastily reached forward, grasping the dog, and pulled him flush up to her chest. He still writhed, however, and [f/n] clamped his muzzle shut with her hand, sending her group partner an apologetic glance and smile, which quickly dissipated at the look of sheer annoyance on his face.

"Eheh, um, sorry about that, R-Rivaille.. Woodpecker just wanted to greet you is all!" She laughed nervously, trying to contain the dog in her grasp. "He just adores people! He wouldn't hurt you.. Hell, he wouldn't hurt a fly! Only fleas! 'Cause, you know, parasites and all.." Her laughter quickly trailed off, seeing that her partner was anything but amused. "Ahem, um.. You're early?"

"I am." He finally spoke, his tone not as unsettling as the look on his face(which was thankfully starting to disappear). "I hope it's not too much of a bother."

"O-oh! No, of course not! Yeah, uh, come in." She shifted aside, letting the male brush passed her as he walked inside, and she closed the door with her foot, letting Woodpecker down. The dog growled, sniffing Levi once more, before scurrying off.

"Anymore.. Animals you should warn me about?" He raised a thin brow, turning to fact [f/n].

"Um.. Yeah.." She started, "We have a German Shepard, but she's older, so shouldn't bother you really. My two cats really just laze about. My Ragdoll cat may come up to you at some point in time, however, and just lie on your lap." A small giggle escaped her lips. "She loves to cuddle. My two birds may or may not--"

"I don't need to hear anymore," He sighed, abruptly ending the conversation as he turned away, wandering down the hallway. [f/n] stopped, blinking, watching flabbergasted as her partner headed over into the dining area. "Where's Eren? That brat better not show up late." Was his voice from the other room, instantly causing a sinking feeling to pit slightly in [f/n]'s stomach.

"Um.. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but Eren said he can't make it." She walked into the room with him, stifling a flinch as his cold, sharp grey eyes flickered over.

"Why not?"

"H-he said he had.. Two games for, um, soccer.. Then dinner with his family.. And yeah.." She shifted her feet, [e/c] eyes darting back and forth between Levi and the ground.

"Hrmph. I suppose it's just us, then. Let's get to work on the project-- The sooner we're done, the better."

-------

"...So, that's why I think that this should go here, and we should just leave this piece out in general.. Do you see what I'm saying?"

"No. Your reasoning is awful. It would look like a cleaner piece if you just placed this part here, and kept your mouth shut. I know what I'm talking about."

"I really don't think you do! Look how off it looks with that there!"

"You brat, stop arguing with me. I clearly know better then you do or ever will. We could have gotten this done twenty minutes ago if it wasn't for your insolent arguing."

[f/n]'s flaring [e/c] gaze snapped up sharply to meet Rivaille's own heated grey gaze. The two shared an intense moment of glares/stares, before finally, [f/n] sighed angrily in defeat, sitting back in her seat, massaging the bridge of her nose.

"Fuck it.. I can't think straight right now.. How about we take a break?" She suggested, her anger dissipating as she turned her gaze up to Levi, whom's gaze was still slightly angered, but impassive, as usual.

"Sure." He agreed, setting the small, crafted building he had in his hand, down onto the table, and she set her buildings as well, standing and moving to the kitchen.

"You want a drink or something?" She called back, rummaging through the fridge to grab herself a soda.

"Tea." Was his answer, and [f/n] deadpanned in response.

"What is this, England?" Was her snort of a reply, walking back in, and set down a [f/s] in front of him, while she cracked open her own, taking a nice swig. His nose crinkled slightly, and he took the drink, looking over it.

"What household doesn't have tea?" He mumbled to himself, but [f/n] could hear it. She was about to scold him for being a 'prude', or 'snob', but kept her mouth shut as he opened his own, taking a small sip. "I hate this brand." He finally muttered, setting the drink down, and [f/n] just rolled her eyes.

"Does it look like I care?" She drawled, leaning back in her seat. It was weird. At first, she had felt almost awkward around him-- Intimidated. Scared, maybe even. But as she grew to talk to him more, despite his sharp glares and retorts, she realized he was all bark and no bite*, so had grown more lax around him.. Even if it had only been about two hours. Her parents were out at work, so on a Saturday, she had the whole day to herself. Well, save for today. They had a project for [l/c] to be done.

"You should be more courteous to your guests, you know." Levi murmured, causing [f/n] to let out a small snort of amusement as he spoke over his drink, taking yet another sip.

"You're not exactly a guest." She took another sip. "I mean.. You technically have to be here. See, I wouldn't ever invite y--" She gave a startled yelp as her chair tipped back dangerously far. Jesus, take the wheel! Was all she could think of, before she careered backwards. The chair slammed against the floor, and her soda flew from her hand, dropping back on her in return. The carbonated diabetes spilled all over her chest, stomach, hair and face, and the can itself landed a few feet away. [f/n] was too stunned to react, her eyes wide, mouth gaping slightly. She heard the sound of chair screech against tile, footsteps, and soon, Levi was hovering over her. This time, his usually stoic face was indeed lit with emotion-- A small smirk of amusement.

"Enjoy your fall?" He sneered, and [f/n] could only muster a small glare, before raising a limp hand towards him.

"Help me up, bastard." She swallowed, and he compiled.. That is, until he felt the sticky soda that coated it. He grimaced, instantly pulling back, causing [f/n] to slump back to the ground, letting out a small groan. "What the f--"

"Your hand. It's covered in soda." He muttered, reaching over, and pulled a paper towel off the roll on the counter. Levi cleaned his own hand, before wiping hers down, and then proceeded to pull her up. "Well, look at that," He sighed, observing how the wooden chair's back was now splintered into useless chunks on the ground. "You broke the chair."

"Oh.." She looked over as well, a slightly guilty look crossing her face, before she shrugged it off, standing. Shaking soda off her other hand(cue Levi cringing), she tugged slightly at her sodden shirt. "I gotta change.. And probably shower to get this stuff off.." She muttered, looking down, before an idea came to mind. "Hey! Wanna swim?" She looked at Rivaille, whom seemed almost taken aback. Almost.

"You can't be serious? We have a project to work on," He nearly growled, and [f/n] pouted slightly.

"Just for a little! While we take a break, y'know. You'd have to wait for me to shower anyways, because if you tried to work on it while I was gone, we'd just have to start all over." He couldn't even get the question 'Why?' out, before she spoke again, "You'd probably put a piece somewhere I don't like, then we'd argue, and blah blah. So c'mon, let's swim!" She grinned hopefully at him, and he snorted, crossing his arms, and looked away.

"I didn't even bring a su--"

"You can borrow one! I mean.. My father has a few he's never worn, because they were too small, and I'm sure you'd fit them." She gave him another hopeful look, and he finally caved in, rolling his eyes.

"Fine, whatever."

"Yay!"

It was weird how she could be so bipolar.

Anyhow, after she was dressed, she headed out of her room. All she could find was a skirt bottom that went about mid-thigh, and a bikini top.. Both of which didn't really match. Grabbing two towels, she headed outside, already spotted Levi hovering by the pool, looking down into it. Setting them down, she strode over as well, peering into the water. "Eh, it needs to be cleaned a little, but it should be fine," She beamed, taking a step into the water. She instantly seized her movements, slowly moving back out.

"What's wrong?" Levi questioned, and a small hiss of pain escaped her lips as she shook her foot.

"I-it's freezing!" She squeaked, glancing at Levi, and he just snorted in return.

"Of course it is. It's the middle of January. Do you not have a heater?" She shook her head. "Guess we can't swim then," He shrugged, turning away.

"W-wait! We can." She interfered, soon stopping him in his tracks, putting a hand on his chest to do so. She swallowed, her eyes flicking over his body for a moment. He was lean, his chest and abdomen slightly toned, and just the thought of reaching out to touch it again, run her fingers over it, caused an almost nonexistent blush to spread across [f/n]'s face. When her eyes finally ripped away from his body, and up towards his steely grey-blue eyes, she saw his own eyes dart up at that exact moment also, as if gaze had also been lingering on her.

"How?" He inquired, acting like he hadn't been doing anything at all. Swallowing, she regained her composure, stepping back.

"U-um.. I could fill the bathtub with water.. Like, warm water! And we could, uh, I don't know, sit on the edge and splash each other, I guess? We have water guns." She suggested. Okay, yes, it was an absolutely.. Weird suggestion, but she knew the hose would be too cold use, and she needed to really this soda off her. She didn't trust Levi alone in the house either while she showered. Rivaille raised a skeptical brow, and almost disbelieving look crossed his features.

"You must be joking." He stated, deadpan expression starting to overtake his sharp features. [f/n] could sweat-drop at this point.

"Um.. It was just a suggestion, y'know.." She shifted her bare feet awkwardly on the cement, gaze trailing towards the rosebushes not too far from the pool. The pregnant silence lingered in the air, only interrupted by the call of songbirds in the distance.

"Alright." It was Levi whom broke the silence.

"What?" She echoed, looking back at him. He snorted, eyes narrowing slightly.

"I said alright. Go run the bath." He said, and [f/n] could only blink.. Almost dumbly.

"U-Um.. Okay, right," She headed back inside, and too the bathroom down the hall. Scooping her orange Tabby and grey Ragdoll out of the bathtub, she ran the water, and called Levi in when it was warm enough. When he walked in, for a few moments, it was extremely awkward. At least, for [f/n] it was. I'm taking a bath with Rivaille.. God, that sounds so wrong.. I don't even know the guy! I've talked to him like, what, twice before this project?

"Are you getting in or what?" Blinking her [e/c] eyes, she hadn't realized Levi was already seating in the water, legs drawn up to his chest, back against the wall opposite of the faucet. His expression was as impassive as ever, and [f/n] gave a slow nod of her head, quickly pulling her hair up into a messy bun as she stepped into the blissfully heated water. A soft sigh ghosted passed her lips as she sunk down to her knees, before moving and sitting on her bottom, pulling her legs up to her chest as well.

Her and Levi made eye contact, and if he managed to notice the light red hues on her features, she could use the excuse of the water being heated. "Explain to me why you wanted to do this again?" He suddenly spoke, resting his sharp chin on his knees, steely eyes not leaving her own, until she broke the eye contact, looking away.

"Um.." She picked up a water gun she had filled already, and aimed it at him, shooting him square in the face. He blinked when the water hit, though had barely flinched from it. He grabbed another gun, shooting her back, hitting her hair. She growled slightly, and he smirked. "I put my goddamn hair up for a reason," She spat, soon taking a sponge soaked with water, and threw it at him. He avoided it, shooting her once more, grabbing yet another gun. Soon enough, they proceeded to have a full on water war.

..And then, once more, soon enough, the bathtub was nearly empty. [f/n] and Rivaille were both panting slightly, standing across from each other in the bathtub, soaked from head to toe in their swimsuits. Finally, Levi dropped his weapons, climbing out of the tub, a soft smirk lining his features. "I suppose that was entertaining-- We killed an hour or so."

"Yeah." [f/n] agreed with a wide grin, letting the water drain. She started to climb out of the tub, but her foot slipped on the edge as she tired. A small, startled yelp escaped her as she began to fall back, already preparing to feel the sudden slam of porcelain against her back and head, but it never happened. Her arm was grabbed, and she was jerked forward, stumbling into Levi, whom had saved her. However, considering they were about the same height(Levi even a little shorter), instead of her head crashing into his chest, her lips ended up locking with his own. The two were frozen stiff, and both felt an equal need to break away. Slowly, their lips parted to take a sip of air, before melding against each other's once more.

[f/n] felt Levi's hands slide down her arms, along her body, and settle on her hips, before wrapping around her waist. [f/n] in response moved her hands around his neck, before entangling her fingers in his sodden hair, tugging lightly at the locks, an almost inaudible moan coming from her throat as their bodies pressed against each other. Mouth heatedly moved against mouth, the kiss becoming more feverish by the second. She felt two of Levi's fingers slowly wind their way under the hem of her skirt, his thumb drawing slow circles against her skin. She was about to respond to the action, before it.. Stopped.

Rivaille had suddenly pulled away, causing [f/n] to retract her hands from his hair. He could only stare at her in dilute shock, the faintest red dancing across his cheeks, before he averted his gaze, clearing his throat, the red dissipating. "I'm getting changed. We need to get back to work." He stated, grabbing his towel and wrapped it around his wet shorts, before exiting the bathroom. Watching the shortstack take his leave, a small smile appeared on [f/n]'s now plump lips, and she put her fingers to them.

"...That just happened." She murmured. Maybe this project wouldn't be such a bother after all.
okAY THIS IS SO BAD I SWEAR
Idk this is my first time trying to write Levi or SnK anything so please forgive if he's out of character
